Privacy, Scope & Participation Standards
Clear boundaries protect the people True North serves and the integrity of the work.
Coaching and educational scope
True North provides educational coaching, reflection tools, workshops, retreats, assessments, and related resources. These services are not psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnosis, medical care, legal advice, crisis intervention, or emergency support.
Voluntary participation and appropriate fit
Participation must be voluntary. A request, assessment, application, consultation, or payment inquiry does not create a client relationship or guarantee acceptance, availability, dates, or outcomes. True North may decline or discontinue an engagement when coaching is not appropriate.
Safety and referral
Coaching may be inappropriate when immediate danger, coercion, active violence, acute mental-health or substance-use crisis, or a need for emergency, legal, medical, or licensed clinical support should come first. True North may recommend qualified outside resources. Website forms are not monitored for emergencies.
Information submitted through the website
Information is used to respond to inquiries, review applications, prepare for requested services, and communicate relevant next steps. Reasonable care is used in handling information, but no online or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. General inquiry forms should not contain highly sensitive medical, financial, legal, safety, or emergency information.
Assessment information
Partner A and Partner B assessments are completed separately for coaching preparation. Individual answers are not intended to assign blame, determine fault, diagnose a condition, or establish legal or clinical conclusions. Spouses should not pressure one another to disclose individual responses.
Payment and written terms
When payment follows approval, placement is secured only through the payment and written-acceptance process provided for that service. Service-specific engagement terms—including scope, scheduling, cancellation, rescheduling, and financial provisions—are provided before payment and control the engagement.
Emergency notice
If you or another person may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate qualified professional. Do not use a True North form or email as an emergency contact method.
